The Adolescent Counselor facilitates therapeutic group sessions and provides individual and family therapy within an Intensive Outpatient Program. Responsibilities include conducting level of care assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and maintaining compliant clinical documentation.
A Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field is required. Candidates must have completed a clinically focused internship and possess prior experience counseling adolescents in a treatment setting.
The Adolescent Counselor will provide direct clinical services within our IOP, facilitating therapeutic groups, conducting assessments, and delivering individual and family therapy. This role is ideal for a clinician who thrives in a team-oriented setting and is committed to helping adolescents build the skills needed for long-term success. Primary Responsibilities Facilitate IOP group therapy sessions for adolescents using evidence-based modalities, including CBT and DBT. Conduct approximately 6–8 Level of Care Assessments weekly. Provide individual and family therapy sessions to support treatment goals and family engagement. Develop and update individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, families, and the interdisciplinary treatment team. Participate in clinical staffing, case consultations, and treatment team meetings. Complete insurance authorizations and utilization reviews as needed. Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation. Assist with additional programmatic and clinical responsibilities as assigned.
Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field required. Completion of a clinically focused internship or practicum required. Prior experience providing counseling services to adolescents in a behavioral health or treatment setting required. Strong clinical assessment, group facilitation, and crisis intervention skills preferred. Experience with CBT, DBT, and family systems approaches is highly desirable. Why Join High Focus Centers?
