The Radiation Therapist positions patients and delivers ionizing radiation according to prescriptions from the Radiation Oncologist. They are responsible for creating treatment plans, documenting care in electronic records, and educating patients on radiation reactions.
Candidates must hold or obtain ARRT licensure with a (T) credential and obtain BLS certification within 14 days of hire. Proficiency in radiation physics, standard therapy techniques, and basic office software is required.
Must hold or obtain current licensure with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) with (T) credential. BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care. Comprehension of standard radiation therapy techniques; principles of radiation physics. Must be able to utilize Word, Excel, Outlook, and electronic medical record software.
