L1MA – Memory Care

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated L1MA (Level 1 Medication Aide) to join our team providing excellent care for our memory care residents. Hours/Shifts

• 7:00pm – 7:00am, Rotating Schedule
• Flexibility to work weekends is required

Principal Responsibilities

• Administer medications accurately and safely under the supervision of a licensed nurse, in accordance with state regulations and facility policies
• Monitor residents for medication side effects and report any concerns promptly
• Provide direct care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
• Support residents with cognitive impairments using patience, empathy, and effective communication techniques
• Maintain accurate documentation of medication administration and resident care
• Assist in creating a calm, structured, and engaging environment tailored to memory care needs
• Respond promptly to resident needs and emergencies
• Collaborate with nursing staff and interdisciplinary team members to ensure high-quality care

Requirements

• Current Missouri Level 1 Medication Aide (L1MA) certification in good standing
• Must be recognized by DHSS.
• Active Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) preferred.
• Experience in long-term or memory care strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of dementia care practices and behavioral interventions is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to resident safety.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
