The role involves efficiently scheduling appointments for patient procedures and surgeries while coordinating day surgeries within the main department. Additionally, the scheduler is responsible for verifying insurance coverage and maintaining productivity logs for the director.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required for this position. Preference is given to candidates with two to three years of medical office experience and knowledge of surgical scheduling and medical terminology.
Makes and schedules appointment for procedures and surgeries for patients in an efficient and timely manner. Verifies and pre-certifies insurance coverage for surgical procedures. Coordinates day surgeries within main surgery department. Maintain productivity logs for department director.
