The Urgent Care Tech provides clinical assistance to providers, including patient intake, data collection, and basic documentation. They also handle clerical duties such as scheduling, patient registration, and financial transactions.
A high school diploma and 1-3 years of related experience are required. BLS certification is mandatory, and PEARS certification must be obtained within 90 days.
0.8 FTE position also requires weekend/holiday rotation
The Urgent Care Tech provides assistance to providers in the office. The assistance includes but is not limited to data collection for patient intake, assisting with provider/patient needs during procedures and basic documentation of the encounter. The Urgent Care Tech is responsible for assisting with clerical activities related to appointment scheduling, patient intake including data verification and office communications.
Job Requirements: High School diploma
1-3 years of job-related experience required.
Preferred grad of a Medical Assistant accredited program, ED Tech
BLS certification from American Heart Association required
PEARS certification required with in first 90 days.
