Administer comprehensive nursing care to a diverse patient population from newborns to geriatrics using a multidisciplinary approach. Implement care plans based on patient assessments and physician orders in accordance with hospital protocols.
Requires an Associate's degree in nursing, a current Texas RN license, and BLS certification. ACLS, PALS/ENPC, and NIHSS certifications must be obtained by the end of orientation.
Administers care to a patient population ranging from newborn to geriatric and utilizes a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach to ensure that each patient receives nursing care appropriate to his/her illness or injury. Prioritizes patient care needs based on the patient assessment and uses the nursing process to implement a plan of care appropriate to each patient’s needs. Delivers care consistent with the physician’s orders and treatment protocols and in accordance with hospital and departmental policy.
