The Medical Assistant supports providers by greeting patients, managing patient flow, and assisting with clinical procedures using sterile techniques. They are also responsible for recording vitals, maintaining patient charts, and ensuring compliance with safety and privacy regulations.
Candidates should have a high school diploma and preferably a degree from an accredited Medical Assisting program or two years of clinical experience. At least one year of experience in a group practice setting and proficiency in Microsoft Office are required.
The Medical Assistant works under the guidance of the Center Manager and the Provider(s), to greet patients; relay telephone messages to the appropriate recipients; assist with procedures; and perform various other assigned clinical responsibilities, utilizing sterile and aseptic techniques
