About the Role

• The MHT Full-Time position at Larkin Behavioral Health Services (LBHS) is a critical role focused on providing comprehensive mental health support to individuals in need.
• The primary goal is to assist in the assessment, treatment, and recovery of patients experiencing behavioral health challenges, ensuring their safety and well-being.
• This role involves working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to implement individualized care plans and facilitate therapeutic interventions.
• The MHT will engage directly with patients to monitor their progress, provide emotional support, and promote positive behavioral changes.
• Ultimately, this position contributes to improving patient outcomes and enhancing the overall quality of care within the LBHS community.

Minimum Qualifications

• Previous experience in a mental health or behavioral health setting is highly desirable.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Basic knowledge of mental health disorders and crisis intervention techniques.
• BLS Certification (American Heart Association)

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification as a Mental Health Technician or equivalent credential.
• Training in trauma-informed care and de-escalation strategies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patient observations and document behavioral changes accurately.
• Assist in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans under clinical supervision.
• Provide direct support and crisis intervention to patients experiencing emotional or behavioral distress.
• Collaborate with clinical staff, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to coordinate patient care.
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment by adhering to facility policies and procedures.
• Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and ongoing training to enhance professional skills.
