Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic and CT imaging procedures to aid in diagnosis of disease and injury.
• Independently cover XR and CT modalities during assigned shifts, including general radiography and CT imaging, patient positioning, and documentation.
• Administer contrast per site-specific protocols within scope of practice; complete CT contrast consent documentation when applicable.
• Review provider orders for appropriateness; coordinate with ordering providers and radiologists; evaluate images for technical quality.
• Maintain radiation safety practices and use protective equipment; assist with patient transport and positioning, including transfers with wheelchairs, stretchers, and beds.
• Document accurately in the electronic health record; follow National Patient Safety Goals and use at least two patient identifiers; maintain patient confidentiality.

Requirements

• Current ARRT Radiography registry
• Current ARRT CT registry
• Current AHA BLS certification for healthcare providers
• Experience performing both X-Ray and CT exams
• Cerner experience required
• Three or more years of clinical imaging experience
• Ability to work independently on weekend night shifts
• Basic computer skills and experience with electronic health records
