Perform preliminary screening examinations and diagnostic tests to evaluate patient eye problems. Assist physicians with minor office surgeries, laser treatments, and the management of patient flow and medical records.
Completion of Ophthalmic Technician training is required. Candidates must hold certification as a Certified Ophthalmic Technician from the JCAHPO.
Work requires completion of Ophthalmic Technician training and certification as a certified Ophthalmic Technician by the Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology (JCAHPO).
