The Medical Assistant supports nursing staff and providers with patient care and clinic operations. Key duties include returning phone calls, assisting with exams, and administering special procedures.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, basic EMR and Microsoft Office knowledge, and obtain BLS certification within 14 days. A professional certification from the Board of Certified Medical Assistants and one year of experience are preferred.
Working under the supervision of the physicians and Clinic Supervisor, the Certified Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting nursing staff and providers with patient care and other duties associated with efficient running of the clinic. Phone calls are returned. Physicians are assisted with exams. Special procedures are administered according to clinic policies
