The physician is responsible for examining patients, diagnosing illnesses, and providing appropriate medical or surgical treatments. They also educate patients on wellness and refer them to specialty care providers when necessary.
Candidates must hold a current Michigan license to practice medicine and obtain medical staff privileges at subsidiary hospitals. Board certification in the relevant specialty is required where applicable.
Examine patients, obtain medical histories and order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests. Counsel patients about illness, injuries, health conditions, and preventive healthcare. Acts independently, consistently exercises discretion and judgment.
