The Crisis Specialist conducts interviews, assessments, and treatment plans for individuals experiencing psychiatric crises. They are also responsible for managing a 24-hour hotline and performing community outreach to stabilize patients in the least restrictive settings.
A Bachelor's degree in a mental health related field and two years of experience are required, while a Master's degree is preferred. Candidates must possess a valid driver's license in good standing with a clean driving record.

Screening and Crisis Intervention Program (SCIP) Legacy operates the State-designated Screening and Crisis Intervention Program for Burlington County, providing evaluations 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to individuals experiencing a psychiatric crisis or posing a danger to self, others or property. We make it our priority to screen and triage individuals in crisis within community settings as opposed to a hospital setting. Our certified screeners and mental health professionals work together to stabilize the crisis and determine the most appropriate, least restrictive treatment option.

The Crisis Specialist interviews consumers, completes assessment, treatment plans, and crisis intervention. Outreaches as required. Answers a 24-hour hotline. Expected to report for work in inclement weather. Additional tasks will be added to the Director’s discretion.
