Admixture Technician

Part-time: hours may increase to full-time during periods of low coverage

• Under direct supervision of a physician and/or clinical pharmacist working within a clinic admixture room prepares all medications associated with IV treatments to be administered in outpatient oncology setting.
• This includes but is not limited to chemotherapy, biologics, growth factors and support medications prescribed.
• In addition, the technician assists with drug inventory and runs/reviews daily reports of drug utilization, maintains pharmacy environment to OSHA standards, demonstrates safe handling and disposal of chemotherapy.
• The technician may serve as a resource to clinical and billing staff regarding drug dispensing and preparation.
• An LPN with Infusion and/or Pharmacy experience will be considered for this role.
• Supports and adheres to the Oklahoma Cancer Specialists and Research Institute Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent required. A minimum of one year of experience in a pharmacy setting. Certified Pharmacy Technician certificate or State Pharmacy Board requirements preferred. Completion of an ASHP and/or Pharmacy Technician Certification Board accredited program or college-based program highly desired.

Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience, qualifications, and other relevant factors.
