Responsibilities

Perform a variety of surgical procedures in a timely and efficient manner Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive care plans Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient care Maintain accurate and timely patient records Participate in surgical rounds and departmental meetings Contribute to ongoing quality improvement initiatives Educate patients and families on surgical procedures and recovery plans Adhere to safety and infection control protocols

Requirements

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree Associate level experience in General Surgery Valid medical license to practice in the state Strong clinical and surgical skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment Commitment to patient-centered care Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

Level III Trauma Center

Schedule: 24-hour call coverage (7a-7a)

Daily Census: 1 case

Patient Population: Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult, & Geriatric

Support Staff: Echo Tech, Lab Tech, Nuclear Tech, X-Ray Tech

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified or board-eligible

ATLS & DEA required
