The Clinical Technician provides safe and effective patient care, specifically focusing on monitoring and reporting cardiac rhythm patterns. They are also responsible for performing EKGs and managing ambulance reports.
A high school diploma or GED is required, while a vocational diploma and CNA or EMT certification are preferred. Preferred experience includes up to two years as a clinical technician or nursing assistant.
The Clinical Technician provides safe, efficient, and therapeutic effective patient care as scheduled. The technician performs monitoring and reporting of cardiac rhythm patterns and changes. Performs electrocardiographs (EKGs). Monitors and manages ambulance reports.

One (1) year as a multi-skilled technician, nursing assistant, or similar role: or nursing student second semester clinical experience is accepted in lieu of work experience. Two (2) years as a clinical or multi-skilled technician, nursing assistant, patient care assistant, EMT, Corpsman, or similar role. Previous experience as a monitor technician in a healthcare setting
