The Pharmacy Resident participates in an ASHP-planned rotation schedule to provide safe and effective patient care. Responsibilities include drug procurement, dispensing, monitoring therapy, and consulting with healthcare professionals.
Candidates must be graduates of an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy. A valid State of Mississippi Pharmacy license or eligibility for the Registered Pharmacist Exam is required upon or shortly after hire.
The Pharmacy Resident participates in a planned rotation schedule in accordance with the requirements set forth by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) designed to foster an accurate, safe and effective provider of patient care. The Resident is responsible for assisting in the daily provision of pharmaceutical services to the patients of the organization. This includes the processes of drug procurement, dispensing, monitoring, as well as the provision of drug information to the associated professional staff and patients.
and Education Requirements: Graduate from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy. Pharmacy/RPh – Registered Pharmacist Exam eligible or Current and valid State of Mississippi Pharmacy license upon hire or obtained within 90 days of hire.
