Responsibilities

• Deliver coordinated nursing care to a patient or assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process
• Assess patient conditions, develop and update plans of care, and document care activities
• Administer medications and monitor responses, following clinical protocols
• Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff and support staff
• Coordinate care with other disciplines, utilizing critical thinking, professional judgment, and independent decision-making
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the care team to ensure safe, efficient patient flow and outcomes

Requirements

• Active RN license in California (or eligibility for CA licensure)
• Minimum ER nursing experience (1–2 years) preferred; strong clinical skills in emergency care
• Current BLS certification; additional certifications (e.g., ACLS) as applicable to ER practice
• Ability to work evenings and 12-hour shifts in an emergency department environment
• Demonstrated clinical judgment, critical thinking, and ability to supervise and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
