The Patient Care Technician supports the multidisciplinary team by performing non-licensed clinical tasks and assisting with medical procedures. Additionally, they serve as an Information Associate to manage unit flow, greet guests, and handle administrative duties like scheduling and data entry.
Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED and complete a patient care technician course within three months of hire. Preferred qualifications include healthcare experience, CNA certification, and BLS/CPR certification.

Responsibilities: Prepares patient rooms for patients. Assists with medical procedures and examinations. Conducts patient interviews, measures vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), and performs phlebotomy. Performs EKGs. Research and scribes for physicians if needed. Performs administrative tasks by scheduling patients for appointments, procedures, etc., using the various registration and scheduling systems.
