One California Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Radiology Technician III, you will help patients by performing a variety of advanced radiographic, fluoroscopic, and specialized procedures so they can receive accurate diagnostic imaging and exceptional care.
Every day you will consistently produce high-quality images according to hospital guidelines and department standards, meticulously complete documentation, and assist MDs and staff with sterile techniques and infection control.
You will be expected to maintain clinical competency through continuous education, actively participate in departmental training for personnel and students, and prioritize work effectively to ensure efficient departmental patient care.
To be successful in this role you must possess a formal radiologic technology training program accreditation, a valid CA Medical Radiographer license (MRAD:CA), a Registered Technologist Radiography (RTR) certification, and a Fluoroscopy Radiology Tech (FLRAD:CA) license.
Furthermore, you should be competent in at least two advanced modalities (one of which must be CT or Mammography) and ideally have an advanced CT certification.
Job Requirements Required Medical Radiographer: CA American Heart Association Basic Life Support - CPR Registered Technologist Radiography (ARRT) Fluoroscopy Radiology Tech: CA In addition to Radiography licensure, must possess and be competent to work in a combination of 2 of the following: MRI, Mammography, CT, IR One advanced Certification must be CT.
Must have satisfactorily completed a formal radiologic technology training program accredited through the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) and the California Department of Public Health, Radiation Health Branch (CDPH-RHB).
4 years experience as a Radiologic Technologist working in and proficient in 1 advanced modality or 3 years experience as a Radiologic Technologist and working and proficient in 2 advanced modalities, one of which must be CT or Mammography.
Completion of annual safety training.
Completes and maintains required unit specific training.
