Operate high-frequency sound wave equipment to perform diagnostic venous and arterial studies according to clinic protocols. Utilize RIS and PACS systems to manage clerical processes and patient archiving.
Requires a high school diploma, BLS certification, and RVT or RVS credentials. Must have at least 2 years of clinical vascular ultrasound experience, including 1 year in venous sonography.
Upon the order of a qualified healthcare provider, the Cardiology Laboratory Vascular Ultrasound Technologist will operate equipment using high frequency sound waves for diagnostic purposes according to policies, procedures, and protocols of the KSC Cardiology Laboratory Department and Kelsey-Seybold Clinic Imaging services vary by location; therefore, performance of venous, and/or arterial studies or participation in Vein Clinic therapeutic procedures will be required depending on the assigned Clinic site The Cardiology Laboratory Vascular Ultrasound Technologist will utilize a Radiology Information System (RIS) to complete clerical processes in conjunction with a designated Patient Archiving System (PACS) May be assigned to other duties, technical or non-technical if training, experience, and credentials are deemed adequate by supervisor to perform those duties You’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.
High School diploma or GED from an accredited program RVT or RVS BLS Certification 2+ years of direct clinical experience in vascular Ultrasound with 1 year cumulative in venous sonography Ability to use computer keyboard and grasp elements of image acquisition Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills May be required to work extended shifts as directed
Healthcare related degree Radiofrequency Vein Ablations, other therapeutic vein agents and procedures experience PACS and RIS experience Bi-lingual or multi-lingual Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
