$15 - $18 / HOUR
Provide flexible, recovery-based support to individuals with mental illness using personal lived experience to guide and consult the care team. Facilitate access to community resources, maintain clinical documentation, and build support networks for persons served.
Must be a Certified Peer Support Specialist with ACT 101 training or be willing to obtain certification. Preferred candidates have two years of experience and knowledge of Trauma Informed Care and Motivational Interviewing.
Candidate must be Certified as a Peer Support Specialist, not a Recovery Specialist or Coach.
Under direct supervision, the Certified Peer Supports Specialist functions as part of a team to provide flexible services aimed at supporting, directly or indirectly, persons served. Provides expertise that professional training cannot replicate due to his/her own personal experience with Mental Illness They often act as a consultant to other team members, helping them understand the persons’ served perspectives and subjective experiences. This position has a high degree of person integrity, generates positive energy, and makes a difference every day. This position promotes recovery-based, person-centered, and culturally competent practices.
