About the Role

  • As a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) at Tanglewood Nursing & Rehabilitation, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate and high-quality care to our residents.
  • Your primary focus will be to assist patients with their daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and dignity at all times.
  • You will work closely with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to monitor patient conditions and report any changes promptly.
  • This role requires a strong commitment to patient-centered care, effective communication, and teamwork to support the overall well-being of our residents.
  • Ultimately, your contributions will directly impact the quality of life and recovery experience of those entrusted to our care.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Current and valid Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) certification recognized by KANSAS.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a state-approved CNA training program.
  • Basic knowledge of patient care and safety standards.
  • Ability to pass a background check and meet health screening requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience working in a long-term care or rehabilitation facility.
  • CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Additional training or certification in specialized care areas such as dementia or palliative care.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
  • Monitor and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure as directed by nursing staff.
  • Provide mobility assistance, including helping residents move safely around the facility and repositioning bedridden patients to prevent pressure sores.
  • Observe and report any changes in residents’ physical or emotional condition to the nursing team promptly.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents by following infection control protocols and facility policies.
  • Support nursing staff with medical procedures and documentation as required.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members to ensure coordinated and compassionate care.

  • Communication skills enable the CNA to interact compassionately with residents and collaborate efficiently with the healthcare team.
