The Nurse Practitioner functions as an Advanced Practice Practitioner accountable for a defined patient population, serving in roles such as expert practitioner, consultant, educator, patient advocate, care coordinator, and researcher within a specialized area of practice. Patient care is provided utilizing the medical model under the supervision of a Neonatologist, adhering to standardized procedures and scope of licensure.
Candidates must possess a Master's Degree in Nursing and be a graduate of a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner program, requiring RN, NP, BLS, and NRP certifications upon hire or shortly thereafter. A minimum of three years of related experience is required, with five years of increasingly responsible experience demonstrating competence in physical assessment, diagnosis, and management of pediatric problems preferred.

(preferred) Skills and Abilities Bilingual Skills Preferred Other Must successfully complete the credentialing process through the Medical Staff office via CIDP for the appropriate scope of practice, written standardized protocols, and furnishing privileges.
