ICU nurses are responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care services for patients presenting with a wide range of health conditions. This includes specialized skills such as caring for patients on ventilators and monitoring life support equipment.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited nursing program, preferably with a minimum of one year of RN experience, and must maintain licensure by the Alabama State Board of Nursing. Successful completion of ACLS and PALS courses is required within one year of hire.
