The Nurse Resident serves as a leader of the healthcare team, establishing relationships with patients and collaborating with team members to implement individualized care plans. Responsibilities include patient advocacy, communication of care plans, and ensuring completion of nursing interventions.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited School of Nursing and have current RN licensure. A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred, along with a willingness to learn and demonstrate essential nursing skills.
Consistently utilizes appropriate communication tools when communicating within the interdisciplinary team and when handing off patient care. Communicates individualized plan of care to the patient and his/her chosen support system. Uses communication tools such as Situation, Background, Assessment, Recommendation, and Question (SBARQ) to communicate more effectively. Documents appropriate information in a timely manner.
Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing and successful completion of the NCLEX required. 4 Year/Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
