The Licensed Clinical Social Worker provides direct therapeutic services to individuals, couples, families, and groups, including assessments and treatment planning. They collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and maintain a caseload of 15 to 20 patients weekly.
Candidates must have a Master's Degree in Social Work and be a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in North Carolina with a minimum of two years of post-licensure experience. Knowledge of electronic medical records and community resources is also required.
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) serves as a part of a multidisciplinary team will provide direct services including individual (including youth), couple, family and group therapeutic services to patients, including assessments, treatment plans and discharge planning. LCSW advocates and help clients gain access to resources while confronting their personal issues, such as mental illness, addiction, and abuse. LCSW is expected to behave ethically and professionally, demonstrate excellent communication skills and be capable to work with diverse populations. Since they interact with professionals from many different social service and government agencies, they must be able to collaborate well with others. The profession also requires emotional resilience and stability since the work often involves dealing with crises.
The incumbent in this position does not have supervisory responsibility. However, he or she may be expected to provide leadership and instruction to volunteers and/or less experienced staff.
Master’s Degree in Social Work or related field from accredited university. LCSW in good standing in the State of North Carolina with minimum two years post-licensure.
