The Residential Counselor will provide direct support to individuals with psychiatric conditions in a residential setting, fostering independence and improving quality of life through collaboration with support networks. Duties include administering medication according to the plan and assisting residents with daily living activities like chores and cooking.
A High School Diploma or equivalent is required, with an Associate's degree in a human service discipline preferred, alongside one to two years of relevant experience. Candidates must be at least 21, possess a reliable vehicle for client transport, and must obtain CPR, First Aid, and MAP certifications within specified timeframes.

As an ACCS Residential Counselor (IGLE), you will provide direct support to people with psychiatric conditions and behavioral health challenges in an intensive residential Group Living Environment designed to assist in fostering independence. In your role you will work together with the people we serve, their families, friends, employers, and other support staff to transform their lives by either building independence skills or increasing each person's quality of life.
In this role you will have a range of duties include administrating medication under the Medication Administration Plan (MAP) and assisting people with activities of daily living, such as household chores and cooking. You will also work alongside the Clinical Program Director to implement treatment plans which are recovery-oriented, person-centered, harm-reduction, trauma-informed, culturally competent and strengths-based approaches.
