Clinical staff provide general clinical and procedural patient care under the supervision of physicians or providers, assisting with tasks like order entry, reporting, and organizational duties. This role requires independently performing various medical procedures such as venipuncture, administering injections, and conducting diagnostic tests like EKGs.
Applicants must possess a High School diploma or equivalent, and either complete an accredited Medical Assistant program with certification or complete a practical nursing program with current state licensure and CNE requirements. CPR certification is required within three months, along with knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding.
1. High School diploma or equivalent certificate 2. Licensed Practical Nurse applicants must successfully have completed a practical nursing and pharmacology program and maintain current state licensure with CNE requirements 3. Prior experience in ambulatory health care facility preferred 4. Ability to learn related center tasks and be of assistance to management and physicians 5. Self-motivated to achieve the highest patient care and customer service standards. 6. CPR certified within the first 3 months of employment. 7. Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding 8. Familiarity with the EPIC EMR is strongly preferred. 9. Thorough understanding of HIPAA law.
