Clinical staff are responsible for general clinical and procedural patient care under the direction of physicians, assisting with tasks like order entry, reporting, and organizational duties. This role requires independently performing various procedures such as venipuncture, administering injections, and conducting diagnostic tests like EKGs.
Applicants must be Licensed Practical Nurses who have completed a practical nursing and pharmacology program and maintain current state licensure with CNE requirements. Preferred qualifications include prior experience in an ambulatory health care facility, CPR certification within three months, and knowledge of ICD-10, CPT coding, and HIPAA law.
1. High School diploma or equivalent certificate 2. Licensed Practical Nurse applicants must successfully have completed a practical nursing and pharmacology program and maintain current state licensure with CNE requirements 3. Prior experience in ambulatory health care facility preferred 4. Ability to learn related center tasks and be of assistance to management and physicians 5. Self-motivated to achieve the highest patient care and customer service standards. 6. CPR certified within the first 3 months of employment. 7. Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding 8. Familiarity with the EPIC EMR is strongly preferred. 9. Thorough understanding of HIPAA law.
