The Certified Medical Assistant provides clinical and procedural patient care under the supervision of physicians, including collecting patient history and performing diagnostic tests. They also manage clerical tasks, maintain examination areas, and ensure efficient patient flow within the endocrinology department.
Candidates must have a high school diploma and a current Medical Assistant certification along with BLS certification. Experience in an ambulatory care environment and knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding are preferred.

The Certified Medical Assistant works under the direct supervision of the physician and/or provider. A minimum patient base of 1,000 to 3,000 patients is served, and an average of 20 – 50 patients are seen each day. The Certified MA will assist providers with patient care that includes, but is not limited to; order entry, reporting, phone calls, clerical, and organizational tasks, and related duties.
