The hospice aide provides direct patient care under the supervision of a nurse, assisting with daily living activities and offering emotional support. They are also responsible for maintaining safety standards and effective communication with the interdisciplinary team.
A high school diploma or GED is required, along with basic reading and math skills. Basic Life Support certification is also necessary upon hire.
