The Parent Peer Support Specialist offers support to caregivers of children with behavioral health challenges or mental health diagnoses through one-on-one consultation to establish goals and assist in navigating care systems. Responsibilities include utilizing shared lived experience, collaborating with clinical teams, and serving as a liaison and advocate for caregivers with the Mobile Response Stabilization Services team.
Candidates must have lived experience as a caregiver for a child with behavioral health challenges or a mental health diagnosis and possess a High School Diploma. A valid driver's license, clean driving record, auto insurance, and schedule flexibility including evening availability are mandatory.
The Parent Peer Support Specialist provides support to caregivers with children that have behavioral health challenges, and/or, mental health diagnosis within the community in a team approach. This support includes one-on-one consultation to identify goals for caregivers and walk alongside them as they navigate systems of care.
