The Staff Nurse is responsible for assessing patients' nursing care needs, evaluating the effectiveness of care provided, and integrating nursing theory and research into clinical practice. This role also involves providing leadership to the nursing team to maintain patient care standards and developing, coordinating, and implementing patient care plans.
Required qualifications include an Associate’s Degree, Diploma, or higher degree in Nursing, excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, general computer skills, and a current Iowa nursing license by the date of hire. A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Nursing is highly desired.
