The Physical Therapy Assistant administers physical therapy treatments under supervision according to the plan of care, focusing on preparing patients, applying therapeutic interventions, and monitoring patient responses. Essential duties also include accurately documenting treatments, progress, and charges in the EHR, and educating patients and caregivers on ongoing plans.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program and hold a current Texas Physical Therapy Assistant license along with BLS certification. One year of experience in a PTA role, particularly in inpatient, outpatient, or Swing Bed settings, is preferred.
