The Endoscopy Technician is responsible for providing direct, age-specific care to patients based on medical orders and the plan of care, operating under the direction of an RN or licensed independent practitioner. This role involves providing patient care, emotional support, and problem-solving in accordance with hospital and unit policies.
Required experience includes one year in an acute care patient care related position, along with a High School Diploma or equivalent; AHA BLS Certification is required for continued employment. Preferred qualifications include three years as a nursing assistant in an acute care setting and completion of a relevant medical training program.
Endoscopy Techs work day shift until the work of the day is complete. Individual schedules will be established with your specific Nurse Manager/Practice Manager. Schedules, including requirements of hours of work may be adjusted as necessary to meet unit requirements and/or as needed. Age Specific groups served: Pediatric Adolescence Adult Geriatric Physical Requirements (includes use of assistance devices as appropriate): Physical: Lifting 50-100 lbs.
