The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant implements standards of care for occupational therapy services under the supervision of a Registered Occupational Therapist, participating in ongoing patient evaluations and teaching new skills to patients for daily activities. This role involves maintaining clinical records, documenting patient progress, and coordinating care with other personnel involved in patient treatment.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited occupational therapy assistant curriculum and certified by the National Certification Examination, holding a current state license. A minimum of one year of clinical experience is preferred, along with maintaining current CPR certification and possessing a reliable, insured vehicle for required travel.
Graduate of an occupational therapy assistant curriculum accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association. Certified with the National Certification Examination of the American Occupational Therapy Association. Licensed by the State Board of Healing Arts in accordance with state licensure laws. A minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience as a certified occupational therapy assistant is preferred. Possesses and maintains current CPR certification. Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is in good working order and insured in accordance with the organization's requirements.
