The Licensed Practical Nurse provides patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse, collaborating with the nursing team to implement patient care activities. This role involves providing physical, emotional, and spiritual support that impacts patient outcomes and care for patients and their families.
Candidates must possess an LPN Diploma Program education and hold a valid Ohio Licensed Practical Nurse license along with current AHA BLS certification. Experience is not required, but the LPN must be certified to administer medications.
The Licensed Practical Nurse administers patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse. The Licensed Practical Nurse collaborates as a member of the nursing team to accomplish patient care activities and contributes to the implementation of patient care. The LPN is accountable for compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, applicable regulatory standards, and institutional policies and procedures. The LPN provides physical, emotional and spiritual support that directly/ indirectly impacts patient outcomes and care provided to patients/ families/ significant others.
