The Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner provides direct patient services including assessment, diagnosis, treatment implementation, and monitoring of patient management plans. They collaborate with a licensed physician and are part of the Patient Centered Medical Home health care team.
Candidates must have graduated from an accredited university and completed an accredited program, along with current certification in their specialty. A current license to practice in North Carolina is also required.
May be asked to supervise clinical supporting staff or other members of the primary care team.

Graduation from an accredited university. Completion of accredited program. Current certification through a professional organization of their specialty.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style. Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or Board of Directors.
Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, musical notes, etc.) in its most difficult phases. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
Competency required in the areas of interpersonal communications, excellent verbal and written skills, and knowledge of credentialing criteria and standards.
