This role involves providing a combination of direct patient care and unit clerical duties for the department, administering care to designated patients under the direction of a Clinical Nurse. The technician also supports the patient care team, ensures an orderly environment, and assists physicians, patients, families, customers, and vendors.
Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or GED and require previous comparable acute patient care experience or successful completion of the IU Health PCA education program. Basic Life Support certification through the AHA is mandatory, along with basic knowledge of medical terminology, infection control principles, and computer skills.
