The Speech-Language Pathologist is responsible for planning, conducting, and evaluating treatment programs for individuals with speech and language comprehension and production disorders, adhering to ASHA standards. This role also involves providing assessment and treatment for cognitive and swallowing disorders under the direction of the attending physician.
The role requires adherence to the standards set forth by the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) for treating speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. The therapist must work under the direction of an attending physician to provide compassionate, quality, and individualized care.
