Radiation Therapists plan and apply ionizing radiation to patients according to the instructions from radiation oncologists. They also provide care and education to patients regarding treatment procedures and manage documentation in electronic medical records.
Candidates must hold current licensure with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and obtain BLS certification within 14 days of hire. They should also have a comprehension of standard radiation therapy techniques and be proficient in relevant software.
Must hold or obtain current licensure with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) with (T) credential. BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care. Comprehension of standard radiation therapy techniques; principles of radiation physics. Must be able to utilize Word, Excel, Outlook, and electronic medical record software.
