The Oncology Nurse Practitioner provides advanced clinical care to patients with cancer and hematologic disorders by performing comprehensive assessments, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and prescribing treatments in collaboration with the healthcare team. Responsibilities also include managing therapy side effects and offering education and support to patients and families throughout the care continuum.
Candidates must possess a Master’s degree or DNP from an accredited NP program, hold current RN and NP licenses, and be board certified as an NP. Preferred experience includes 1–2 years as an NP in oncology or hematology, along with strong knowledge of oncology processes and compassionate, patient-centered clinical decision-making skills.
The Oncology Nurse Practitioner (NP) provides advanced clinical care to patients with cancer and hematologic disorders. Working collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, the NP performs comprehensive assessments, orders and interprets diagnostic tests, prescribes treatments, manages side effects of therapy, and provides education and support to patients and families throughout the continuum of care.
This position offers a competitive base salary commensurate with experience, plus a productivity-based bonus tied to Relative Value Units (RVUs). The RVU bonus program rewards clinical efficiency and quality, providing additional earning potential based on your patient care volume and performance.
