The Direct Care Worker must provide direct care services to adults with developmental disabilities in independent living settings, assisting and supervising them in all areas of adult daily living skills and implementing individualized programming plans. Key duties include ensuring resident health and safety, maintaining a clean environment, transporting residents to appointments, and accurately completing required documentation.
A High School Diploma or GED is required, along with a minimum of one year of experience working with OPWDD individuals or in other human service fields. Candidates must obtain SCIP, AMAP, First Aid, and CPR certifications within three months of hire, and a valid NYS driver's license is preferred.
The Direct Care Worker is required to provide direct care services to adults with developmental disabilities living independently in the organization’s Independent Residential Alternative houses.
