The Medical Receptionist provides essential clerical and administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of the medical office, handling patient paperwork, scheduling, and managing financial transactions like co-pays and deposits. Key duties include tracking billing information, coordinating with Financial Services for reimbursement, and maintaining office supplies and a safe environment.
A high school diploma or GED is required, though preference is given to those with an emphasis in Office Occupations, a business office school background, Medical Assistant training, or an Associate’s degree. Candidates need up to one year of relevant experience and must maintain a current, valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
Under the leadership of the Manager, Physician Services, the Medical Receptionist is an active member of the Physician Services team that delivers office support consistent with the strategic vision, goals, philosophy and direction of Physician Services and CRHS. The Medical Receptionist provides clerical and administrative support to the medical office staff, maintaining files and records, scheduling office appointments and preparing reports or other documents as directed. The Medical Receptionist ensures that the medical office operates in an efficient manner and collects, verifies and submits patient billing information for reimbursement.
