The clerical specialist is responsible for providing high-level administrative support, which includes tasks such as scheduling meetings, preparing correspondence and statistical reports, and maintaining sensitive data. Essential functions involve reviewing records for deficiencies, correcting data entry errors, and assisting customers with medical record requests.
The role requires reviewing records for quality and accuracy, correcting computer data entry errors, and handling requests for medical records by verifying patient identification and release authorizations. Candidates must also maintain strong working relationships with other departments and participate in cross-training and quality reviews.
