Behavioral health technicians provide direct care and support to patients with behavioral disorders under the supervision of behavior analysts, involving observing and recording patient behavior and assisting with daily activities. Key duties include providing emotional support, reporting on patient progress, crisis intervention, maintaining confidentiality, and completing necessary documentation.
Candidates must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the U.S., with a preference for a GED or high school diploma, although experience may waive this. Desired characteristics include being compassionate, caring, and service-oriented, with experience in a behavioral health setting being preferred.
