The Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting providers with direct patient care, managing charts, scheduling appointments, and supporting in-office procedures, while also handling front desk clerical duties when necessary. Essential functions include fulfilling patient care, clerical, environmental, and organizational responsibilities while strictly adhering to HIPAA and OSHA regulations.
Candidates must possess a High School Diploma and required certification as a Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA/ABR-OE), with a graduate of a medical assisting program being preferred. A minimum of one year of public contact experience, preferably in a medical office, is required, along with knowledge of the healthcare field and strong interpersonal skills.

This position works in an environment that is a combination of medical office and exam/procedure room settings. The office is well-lighted, well-ventilated, adequate space. There is the potential for exposure to communicable diseases and other conditions common to medical office setting. The ideal candidate must be able to use appropriate body mechanics techniques when making necessary patient transfers and helping patients with walking, dressing, etc. You must be able to lift up to 30 pounds of supplies.
