This role involves assisting physicians and nursing staff with direct patient care, including gathering histories, preparing patients for exams, and performing routine office testing like phlebotomy and vital signs measurement. The assistant is also responsible for chart management, patient flow, and may perform delegated medical tasks and clerical duties as assigned.
Candidates must have two to three years of medical assisting and medical office experience, along with completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program. Required credentials include Medical Assistant certification from an accredited body and current CPR certification, demonstrating skill in venipuncture.
Responsible for assisting physicians and nursing staff with patient care. Responsible for chart management and patient flow. Performs delegated medical tasks and may perform clerical duties. Where the electronic system is in use, this position will utilize the system as documented in the department and/or FPI standard operating procedure and process; and other duties as assigned.
