CRNAs provide expert anesthesia care in collaboration with anesthesiologists and surgeons, delivering high-quality, holistic, and evidence-based anesthesia and pain care services across various acuity levels and settings. Essential functions include pre-anesthetic preparation, developing individualized anesthetic plans, managing patient balance during procedures, and responding to emergency situations.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited school of nursing and an accredited nurse anesthesia program, holding a valid state RN License and state APRN Recognition. Certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) by the AANA is required at the start date, along with current ACLS and BLS certifications.
